In 1922, Ninah May Holden Cummer gathered a group of friends in her Riverside home to create a more beautiful city. This group ultimately became the Garden Club of Jacksonville. Ninah Cummer was born on October 16, 1875, and the Garden Club is celebrating with an outdoor picnic with plenty of room to physically distance while connecting socially. Stroll the campus and enjoy the river view while listening to a live band.

Order a drink and a snack box of imported and domestic artisan cheeses; charcuterie of chorizo, soppressata, and prosciutto; dried apricots; grapes; Marcona almonds; crackers; and rosemary focaccia crisps.

The Garden Club is also celebrating its official designation as a historic landmark by the city of Jacksonville. While you’re here, find out how you can become more involved with the Garden Club’s programs and volunteer opportunities.

Don’t forget to peruse the wide range of items at our Garden Boutique Sale: accessories, jewelry, garden tools, Christmas decor, books, and more!
