Join LaVonne O’Shields, Eileen Zebroski, and Jan Sillik to learn how to write a winning application for a Florida Federation of Garden Clubs award. LaVonne and Eileen will demystify the awards-writing process by taking attendees through each step, from analyzing an award’s requirements, understanding the scoring scale, gathering documentation, to producing the final product for submission. Winning awards will be available for review.

LaVonne O’Shields is a member of the Garden Club of Jacksonville and the awards chair for FFGC District IV. She is a former educator and has written successful grants and awards in her professional career and on behalf of the Garden Divas Circle and the Garden Club of Jacksonville.

Eileen Zebroski is a Ribault Garden Club member and the District IV youth awards chair. aShe served many years as the youth gardening chair for FFGC.

Jan Sillik is a former president of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs (FFGC) and a life member of the National Garden Clubs (NGC), FFGC, and the Deep South Garden Clubs. An accredited master flower show judge, she is the founder of the Fun with Flowers program, which she originated at the Garden Club of Jacksonville and continues to run throughout FFGC. Sillik is a former president of the Wildflower Garden Circle.

This program will be offered in-person at the Garden Club of Jacksonville and simultaneously on Zoom. You will receive the Zoom link when you register.
