On January 17, we welcomed an enthusiastic group of young gardeners and their families to the Garden Club of Jacksonville for our Budding Gardeners: Flower Arranging program! Children in grades 1-6 joined us for a fun, hands-on introduction to floral design. With guidance from members of the Late Bloomers Garden Club, each participant learned the basics of creating a beautiful flower arrangement, all assembled in charming tea cups that they got to take home at the end of the session.
This make-and-take activity was paired with healthy snacks and lots of encouragement, and gave kids a chance to explore their creativity. The morning was full of laughter, learning, and the fresh scent of flowers — exactly what our Budding Gardeners experiences are all about!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out, especially our volunteer hosts from the Late Bloomers Garden Club. We can’t wait to see you at the next Budding Gardeners event!
