The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs celebrates 100 years in 2024. The four original clubs that started FFGC are the Garden Club of Jacksonville, Garden Club of Halifax Country, Winter Park Garden Club, and Miami Garden Club.

On January 16 FFGC District IV Director Sam Runyon and Former District IV Director Connie Gladding shared the FFGC’s history and convention plans and encouraged #GardenClubJax members to attend the festivities. Located at Jacksonville’s Southbank Marriott Hotel the convention schedule will be packed with distinguished guest speakers, a members-only art show with displays of jewelry, fiber arts, sculpture, and paintings, and a State Flower Show that will be held at the Garden Club of Jacksonville. There will also be tours of the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens.

Be sure to watch a video of Combined Circles: FFGC Turns 100 below for more information about the convention, its schedule, and how to register for its programs.

Special Thanks

The Garden Club of Jacksonville would like to thank the Wildflower Garden Circle for volunteering for this event, and Carol Waters, Wildflower Circle member, for decorating.
