Lindsey Morando designed several arrangements sourced from her mobile BLOOM Flower Truck on May 11. She shared the story of how she started selling fresh flowers and her journey to learn the art of floral arranging. She showed attendees how to make a beautiful spring bouquet, then provided the materials in a hands-on exercise to make their own. Their arrangements, each one different, made beautiful gifts to take home or to give to someone for Mother’s Day!
Lindsey launched her business in the spring of 2022 and has been slinging flowers all over Jacksonville since. She started Bloom because she wanted a way to connect with the community and bring joy in a post-pandemic time. What better way to do that than with fresh flowers? As a Navy wife, Lindsey has learned the true meaning of “bloom where you’re planted.” Through flowers, she aims to bring joy to those who are currently trying to do the same.
BLOOM Flower Truck is Jacksonville’s first flower truck that serves the northeast Florida areas of Jacksonville, Riverside, Murray Hill, Avondale, San Marco, and the Jacksonville Beaches. They provide fresh flowers and sell them by the stem. BLOOM is also available for pop-up shops and events.
Fun with Flowers is an educational outreach program that is open to the public. Founded by the Garden Club of Jacksonville more than 30 years ago, Fun With Flowers has served as a model for similar programs offered throughout the United States. Attendees learn the latest professional design techniques, then create breathtaking floral creations during the hands-on portion of the program.
