In 1922, Ninah May Holden Cummer gathered a group of friends in her Riverside home to create a more beautiful city. This group ultimately became the Garden Club of Jacksonville. Ninah Cummer was born on October 16, 1875, and the Garden Club celebrated this October 16 at an outdoor picnic with plenty of room to physically distance while connecting socially.

Attendees strolled the campus and enjoyed the river view while listening to a live band. Gorgeous decorations, a donation bar, birthday cupcakes, snacks, and charcuterie boxes from Catering by Liz added to the festive atmosphere

The Garden Club celebrated its official designation as a historic landmark by the city of Jacksonville and debuted an initial landscape redesign by Rick Pariani.
