On June 23, Nathan Ballentine, the Man in Overalls, gave an introduction to organic, raised-bed summer food gardening (#GrowYourGroceries). He discussed what and how to grow in the summertime to succeed. He covered grass-to-garden basics like how to pick a site, garden bed types, and healthy soil. Then, he focused on summer-loving varieties and lazy ways to prevent weeds, manage pests, and minimize the need to water. He even offered a few of his favorite summer recipes.
