The temperature dropped on the first day of November—just in time for our inaugural Sip+See, a lively interactive reception to celebrate all the new Friends of the Garden Club who became members since our Open House in September.
Members new and old gathered in the Club Room and Courtyard for nature-themed activities guided by Kelly Johnson of Wings, Worms, and Wonder.
Johnson helped lead a series of creative activities to stimulate our relationship with the environment, including a guided nature meditation, construction of nature journals, nature photography, blind contour drawings of greenery centerpieces, and a seek and find activity around the campus.
Irene Woodworth, chair of the Garden Club grounds committee and Garden Divas Circle member, assembled stylish and delicious vegetable trays. Chef’s Garden Catering & Events generously provided beverages for the event.
