On April 25, we welcomed a wonderful group of young gardeners and their families to the Garden Club of Jacksonville for our Budding Gardeners: Wearable Flowers program! Children of all ages enjoyed a fun, hands-on experience creating beautiful floral accessories using fresh flowers and greenery.
With guidance from members of the Watsonia Garden Club Circle, participants learned how to design and assemble wearable floral creations such as flower crowns, corsages, and boutonnieres. Each child had the opportunity to express their creativity while learning basic floral design techniques in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The room was filled with colorful blooms, creativity, and excitement as participants proudly showed off their handmade floral pieces. Along with the hands-on activity, guests enjoyed snacks, laughter, and a memorable morning celebrating flowers and imagination.
A special thank you to the members of the Watsonia Garden Club Circle for volunteering their time and talents to make this event possible. We loved seeing so many young gardeners inspired by the beauty of flowers, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for future Budding Gardeners programs!
