Children and their parents learned how to propagate plants at Budding Gardeners: Starting Sprouts on March 13. Members of the Wildflower Circle demonstrated how to grow seeds in small take-home greenhouse containers and by planting cuttings from other plants.
Children had a chance to dig in the dirt, learn the steps for nurturing their own plants, and take home some supplies to try it on their own. The program took place outside allowing participants to spread out and enjoy the weather.
Budding Gardeners is aimed at children in grades 1-6 to discover gardening, conservation, and wildlife through interactive programs, crafts, and outdoor activities.
