The Garden Club of Jacksonville’s annual Flea Market was the ultimate place to reuse and recycle–especially after The Power of Re program! The big sale kept valuable items out of the landfill while supporting the Garden Club and its related circles. The Flea Market on February 24 and the Preview Party on February 23 attracted more than 2,000 attendees. The Preview Party itself had record numbers, with excited guests lining up down the sidewalk! Flea Market day was busy from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a constant crowd of visitors and shoppers.

Guests scored fantastic finds at this gigantic yard sale featuring enticing items from homes across Jacksonville. The Garden Club, its Garden Circles, and independent vendors sold housewares, artwork, furniture, books, knick-knacks, and more. The Garden Club transformed its Club Room into a boutique of women’s, men’s, and children’s fashions straight from the closets of its members, including cocktail dresses, suits, school clothes, jewelry, and accessories.

Village Bread Café provided delicious food truck dining to shoppers, and the Garden Club had a donation bar on both days. Mia’s Sweet Gems had a tent in the Courtyard and sold sweet baked desserts.

After a weekend of sales, the Garden Club donated giant trucks full of items to the Salvation Army, Goodwill, and a van loaded with clothing for the Downtown Ecumenical Services Council.
